The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-run business in the world! It is a unique, hands-on way for girls to develop five essential skills that are core to the Girl Scout Leadership Program:
- Goal-setting
- Decision-making
- Money management
- People skills
- Business ethics
Are you ready to unleash that unstoppable Girl Scout drive and ingenuity to make amazing things happen and reach your goals? Of course. You’ve got this! Below you’ll find resources and tips to help make your first Girl Scout Cookie Program a total success.
Ways to Sell 
There are several ways your girls can participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program. Together with your parents and volunteers, you can decide what works best for your girls, picking all or some of the following methods.
Order Card
Using the order card is a great tool to help Girl Scouts reach their goals. Girls can take initial orders from customers and re-orders from those who need just one more box of their favorite treat. In-person ordering not an option? The order card can be used for orders taken over the phone, or through email or text. Also, girls can use the door hanger to leave with neighbors to share information on how to place a cookie order.
Digital Cookie
Digital Cookie is a fun, educational tool that helps girls run and manage their Girl Scout Cookie business online. Girl Scouts offer their customers the convenience of ordering and paying online while learning digital marketing skills. Girls who pair Digital Cookie with the order card sell on average 76% more cookie boxes.
Cookie Booths
Cookie Booths are a troop activity that allows Girl Scouts to sell directly to the public with cookies in hand at a local business. Troops can choose from in-person, drive-thru or virtual booths.
Smiles4Military
With the Smiles4Military initiative, customers can donate Girl Scout Cookies to those serving in the military at home and abroad. Donations are made in $5.00 increments with a Girl Scout on her order card, online with Digital Cookie, or at a cookie booth. Girls who participate sell on average 250+ cookie boxes.
Gift of Caring Project
Girls and troops are welcome to create their own local Gift of Caring projects in lieu of, or in conjunction with Smiles4Military. Your troop can choose any group that resonates with them to receive donated cookies: local school or teachers, hometown heroes such as fire fighters or police officers, front line workers, homeless shelter, a senior facility, etc. Tell your customers where the donated cookies are going and deliver them to the chosen group at the end of the cookie season.
