Troop camping is a unique opportunity for girls to connect with each other while discovering and exploring the outdoors.
Property Options: Camp Meriwether and Camp Misty Mountain. Please note that Camp Timber Ridge will not have availability for troop camping in 2023-24 as we complete construction projects to support our partnership with Amana Academy.
Housing Options: Choose from setting up your own tents in a primitive campsite to sleeping in an air-conditioned cabin with a full kitchen, hot shower, and flush toilets.
Each troop should have an adult who has completed the Troop Outdoor Certificate and an adult who has completed First Aid/CPR.
All attending adults must also be registered Girl Scout members and have a completed background check on file.

Troop Camping registration opens on June 28 at 10 a.m. for the following Girl Scout year (October through the following September).
A deposit of 25% of the fees is due at time of registration. Deposits are non-refundable.
If cancellation of a camp site is received by email to email@example.com at least 30 days prior to the scheduled camp date, the troop is eligible to receive a refund less the deposit. The deposit is non-refundable.
Camps remain open in most weather conditions and money is not refunded because of rain. Include rainy day activities in your planning! In the event of severe weather, leaders should evaluate the driving conditions and determine whether they should wait until the next day to travel. The council will notify the leader if the camp closes for any reason – a full refund will be issued under these circumstances.
Once activities have been confirmed, payment is required no later than 14 days in advance, or troops risk cancellation. Final participant numbers cannot be changed less than 14 days before the camping date. We will do our best to add additional participants when possible, but we will not be able to reduce group size or issue a refund less than 14 days before the camping date as we have made arrangements for your group. A full refund will be available if the activity cannot safely run due to weather. Activities that can safely run in light rain, cold, or hot temperatures, may not be canceled, so please come prepared. If the activity still runs and the troop chooses not to participate, a refund will not be available.
