These events are fun opportunities for troops or families to enjoy an experience hosted by one of our community partners. Plus, they are fundraising events for Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, so whenever you purchase tickets through our Girl Scout links, you are raising money to empower local girls to dream big.
Pave the Way
Don’t miss your chance to leave your mark on Girl Scout history - Purchase a personalized engraved brick today!
This is a great opportunity to recognize an outstanding volunteer, celebrate girls who have earned a High Award, or leave your mark as a troop or a Girl Scout alum.
Your custom brick will be placed in the courtyard of the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta Headquarters for visitors to admire for years to come. The proceeds from your brick purchase will give local girls magical Girl Scout adventures so they can discover new things, dream big, and make the world a better place!
Run for the Cookies
The Run for the Cookies 5K is a great day for runners, families, and Girl Scout troops to come together to enjoy the outdoors, be active, and raise money to support local girls. The 5K and Fun are open to anyone in the community and everyone receives a box of Girl Scout Cookies to help you celebrate crossing the finish line!

Clean out your closets for a good cause
Live up to the Girl Scout values of using resources wisely and making the world a better place by recycling any clothing and household items that you no longer need instead of throwing them away. You can find the collection bin in the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta Headquarters parking lot in Mableton. Items that are accepted in the bin include clothing, accessories, household linens, baby clothes, shoes, and more. See a full list of accepted items. Please make sure that all items are placed in trash bags before you drop them off in the bin.
All of the items donated are given a second life with a new family and they also help us raise money to support Girl Scout programs. If you have any questions, please contact Shelby Swiney at sswiney@gsgatl.org.
Gifts of Stock
Gifts of appreciated stock or securities can provide you with the opportunity to make a substantial gift to our Council and use the gift as a charitable tax donation. Here are the simple steps to transferring appreciated stock and securities to the Council.
Matching Gifts & Volunteer Service Grants
Matching Gifts provide you with an easy way to potentially double, if not triple, your original donation! Many organizations supplement their employees’ contributions to some organizations (specifications of the match vary based upon each organization). Your company, your spouses’ company, or even a company you are retired from may match your gift. Go here to see if your company matches gifts.
Volunteer Service Grants are corporate giving programs in which companies provide monetary donations to organizations where employees volunteer regularly. If you volunteer for the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta in any capacity, go here to see if your company offers this amazing opportunity. Half of the funds received from volunteer service grants, up to $250, can go directly back to your troop!
If your company’s information did not appear, your employer may still have a matching gift or volunteer service grant program. Please contact your HR department to find out if your gift can be matched.
