What does the registration fee include?
The registration fee includes admission to the event, including all the Activity Tables, vehicles, and Girl Scout Science Fair. It also includes a STEM Expo fun patch for each Girl Scout. We anticipate families can spend 2-3 hours exploring everything the event has to offer! Workshops are optional and have an additional cost. You can use Cookie Dough to register for this event, and Financial Aid is avaliable.
Do we have to attend a workshop?
No! Workshops are an optional add-on. Your registration fee will include a full 2-3 hours of fun, including hands-on activity tables, vehicles, and Girl Scout Science Fair.
Is this a family event?
Yes, parents and siblings are welcome to attend! Girl Scouts must be accompanied by an adult (parent, guardian, or Troop Leader) during their time at STEM Expo. Siblings 5 and under are free and do not need to register.
When should we plan to arrive?
We recommend arriving by 1:30 PM at the latest. Final admittance will be at 2:00 PM to ensure all guests have ample time to enjoy the event. We suggest planning on spending 2-3 hours at STEM Expo.
How long should we expect to stay at the event?
We suggest allocating 2-3 hours to fully experience STEM Expo.
Is this event indoors or outdoors?
We will have both indoor and outdoor spaces to explore during the event! Outdoor spaces will be moved under a cover in the event of rain. Check out pictures from last year to see more about the event set-up.
Can we register at the door for STEM Expo?
On-site registration will be limited and will include an additional fee. We encourage early registration in order to reserve your slot at the best price! Keep in mind that the final admission is at 2:00 PM- arrive by 1:30 if you intend to register on-site.
My Girl Scout would like to use Cookie Dough to attend. How do we do that?
To use Cookie Dough for this event please register FIRST to reserve your slot and choose "pay by mail" at checkout. Then fill out the relevant form below with "STEM Expo 2023" as the event. We'll be in touch to confirm everything.

Can I drop my Girl Scout off at STEM Expo for the day?
No, all Girl Scouts must be accompanied by an adult (parent, guardian, or Troop Leader) also registered for the event. Troop Leaders bringing a troop are responsible for maintaining Girl Scout safety ratios (utilizing registered adults from their troop) at the event.
Can I purchase a STEM Expo t-shirt?
Yes! STEM Expo t-shirts will be available for purchase on-site at the Badge & Sash pop-up store.
Can my Girl Scout earn badges at STEM Expo?
Yes, certain workshops will complete specific badge steps, and Girl Scouts can finish earning the badge by completing the remaining steps at home. We’ll let you know at STEM Expo which badge steps are completed in which workshops. Each Girl Scout who attends STEM Expo will receive a free fun patch to commemorate the event!
What is your refund policy?
Tickets for STEM Expo will be refundable until Monday, October 23 for a full refund. Between October 24 – November 10 tickets will be refundable for a 50% refund. No refunds will be processed after November 11. Please email STEM@gsgatl.org to refund your ticket.
Will the Badge & Sash be at the STEM Expo?
Yes! The Badge & Sash pop-up will have a selection of items from the Mableton Store, including event t-shirts and badges.
Will food and drinks be avaliable for purchase?
Yes! Lunch will be avaliable for purchase from the Atlanta Motor Speedway food service, and will include sandwich boxes (sandwich, chips, and cookie). Vegetarian and gluten free options will be avaliable. Please leave outside food and drinks (other than water) in the car. You are welcome to bring lunch for a car picnic, or leave for lunch and return, but no outside food or drink can be brought into the venue. Reusable water bottles are welcome; we’ll have water stations at the event.
Where can we park?
Parking is free and on-site and will be directed by Atlanta Motor Speedway staff. Look for signs on arrival and you’ll be pointed to event parking. Handicapped parking is avaliable- please indicate it is needed to parking attendants.
