Be a Bioengineer @ Georgia Tech

Did you know that Georgia Tech students and scientists are working on new vaccine technology and nanoparticle drug development? Join us to discover more about this scientific work and see “a day in the life” of a bioengineering student! This two-day workshop includes activities designed to inspire the next generation of bioengineers! You’ll learn about biomaterials, why they are important, and how we can use them to develop precision medicine. Girl Scouts will get to conduct experiments, learn more about how to make biomaterials, nanoparticles, and will try out different lab tools and techniques. Work alongside current graduate students to learn more about bioengineering and chemical engineering!
This TWO DAY workshop is for Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Girl Scouts (in grades 6-12), and will be hosted by our partners at in the Champion Lab at Georgia Tech. All Girl Scouts will receive a fun patch for participating. Girl Scouts can be dropped off, or adults are welcome to stay. Please note we need a few adults to stay on-site for safety ratio; please add yourself to the registration if you are able to. Please note that this workshop will be held at Georgia Tech. Participants will be responsible for their own parking, which is anticipated to be $10 per vehicle. Specific parking information will be sent the week before the event.
Please note this workshop is TWO DAYS: Saturday AND Sunday, October 19 AND 20. The workshop will be held 1:00-3:30 PM on BOTH days.
