MABLETON, GA. (JULY 27, 2026) – Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta announced their 2026-2027 inaugural Young Professionals Board. The Young Professionals Board is an affinity group designed to engage emerging leaders in philanthropy, community impact, and the Girl Scout mission. Comprised of early-to mid-career professionals, the board serves as a pipeline for future leadership while expanding the organization’s reach among new and diverse audiences.
These individuals represent a cross-section of industries, including corporate, civic, nonprofit, and government sectors, and have clearly defined upward career trajectories. The Young Professionals Board members must be between 25 and 40 years old and come from the greater metro Atlanta area.
These 31 young professionals will serve an eighteen-month term as champions for local Girl Scouts. Fundraising is a core responsibility of the board. Members play an active role in supporting and advancing the organization’s signature fundraising events, including the Green Tie Guys, Run for the Cookies 5K, and the Night of a Million Dreams gala. Through these efforts, the Young Professionals Board directly contributes to generating critical resources that fuel Girl Scout programming and expand opportunities for girls across the Greater Atlanta area.
By combining service, philanthropy, and leadership development, the Young Professionals Board strengthens the future of Girl Scouts while cultivating the next generation of civic and community leaders.
A distinctive feature of the Young Professionals Board experience is its connection with the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta Board of Directors. Members benefit from intentional cross-pollination opportunities, fostering mentorship, leadership exposure, and expanded professional networks across generations of community leaders.
“We are thrilled to welcome our inaugural Young Professionals Board members, each bringing expertise and passion to our cause,” said Jai Ferrell, CEO of Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta. “The diversity of their experience is invaluable in advancing our shared vision of bringing the Girl Scout leadership program to every girl who wants to belong.”
