For 113 years, Girl Scouts have been leaders, changemakers, and go-getters, stepping up to challenges and making the world a better place. From launching entrepreneurial ventures through the Girl Scout Cookie Program to tackling Gold Award projects that address critical community issues, Girl Scouts have never been afraid to lead.
But what makes being a Girl Scout so special isn’t just the accomplishments, it’s the journey. It’s the friendships formed at camp, the confidence built while learning a new skill, and the moments of service that shape a lifetime of leadership.
Each March, National Girl Scout Week honors this legacy, celebrating the values, traditions, and spirit of Girl Scouting. And this year, we’re going all in! With seven days of action and reflection, we’re inviting Girl Scouts past and present to share their experiences, show kindness, and inspire the next generation of trailblazers.
Join Us for a Week of Celebration!
- Sunday, March 9: Start with Kindness: A single good turn can set off a ripple effect of positivity. Today, Girl Scouts are leading with kindness, whether it’s helping a friend, donating items to those in need, or simply sharing an encouraging word. How will you make the world a little brighter today?
- Monday, March 10: Motivate & Inspire: Your words have power! Take a moment to share an affirmation, a quote, or words of encouragement that fuel your Girl Scout spirit. Whether it’s about taking on a new challenge or lifting up a friend, let’s spread some #MondayMotivation!
- Tuesday, March 11: Friendship First: "Make new friends, but keep the old..." Today is all about celebrating the bonds that make Girl Scouting so special. Tag your troop besties and share your favorite Girl Scout memory together.
- Wednesday, March 12: National Girl Scout Day!: We honor 113 years of Girl Scouts making history. From Juliette Gordon Low’s first troop in Savannah to the millions of Girl Scouts changing the world today, the impact of Girl Scouts is undeniable. Take a moment to reflect on what #BecauseOfGirlScouts means to you!
- Thursday, March 13: Gratitude in Action: Gratitude is our favorite attitude! From campfires to cookie booths, we’re thankful for every experience, leader, and friend that makes Girl Scouts so meaningful. Download this free eCard and send a message of appreciation to someone special.
- Friday, March 14: Building the Future: During Women’s History Month, we celebrate the past, but today, we’re looking ahead! Whether you’re planning a Gold Award project, a troop adventure, or a community impact initiative, let’s dream big together. What’s your next step in making the world a better place?
- Saturday, March 15: Giving Back: Giving back is in our DNA! End the week on a high note by volunteering in your community or committing to a good turn for someone in need. Share your favorite way to give back and inspire others to do the same!
