Fire rings, shelters, water spigots, picnic tables, pit latrines, and showers are also available at camp. Bring your own traditional camping equipment (portable grill/smoker, propane stove) or go old school and build a campfire to make your meals (fire rings are not provided for this; we do have some for rent).

Located in Armuchee, GA, Camp Misty Mountain has been a beloved camping destination for Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta since 1971. It is nestled against the Appalachian Mountains, boasting 800 acres of fields, forests, and its own beautiful Lake Marvin. It’s the perfect place to unplug, embrace nature, and spend quality time with your loved ones.
As the Girl Scout motto reminds us, "Be prepared." The Girl Scout Handbook, outlined in 1947, "A Girl Scout is ready to help out wherever she is needed. Willingness to serve is not enough; you must know how to do the job well, even in an emergency." The same holds true today and it is a perfect reminder for camping.
Camping is a memorable experience but not being aware of the weather, safety guidelines, and rules concerning the camp property can take away from the fun of your outing. Luckily, we have a host of ways to help make sure you are more than prepared.
