Green Tie Guys have begun stepping up for girls in our community
Join us for a weekend of adventure, friendship, and classic camp fun! Girl Scouts and their troops will enjoy campfire activities, outdoor games, nature hikes, and crafts — all designed for fun, connection, and a little bit of Girl Scout magic. As the sun sets, gather around the campfire to roast s’mores, share stories, and enjoy the cozy camp atmosphere under the stars. For those looking for a little extra adventure, optional horseback riding sessions will be available, giving campers a chance to saddle up and experience the thrill of riding in a guided setting.

Horseback Riding is a very popular activity, and to accommodate as many participants as possible, we will have multiple sessions available. The price is in addition to the general fee for the event.
Equestrian - Groom-a-Pony with Pony Ride (grades K - 3)
This program is designed for Girl Scouts who want to spend some time around our equine friends and have a short, unique pony ride. You will get a lesson on how and why we groom our horses, as well as time to ask horse questions and get answers from one of our Camp Meriwether full-time equine professionals. You will spend half the time grooming a horse and the other half riding and being led by an amazing adult!
**Adults accompanying your members will need to assist by leading the horse for them. Staff will be sure that you are comfortable before sending you around the arena.
Arena Ride (grades 4 - 12)
Price: $40 per camper
Girl Scouts (4th grade and older) will learn how to start, steer, and stop their horse. Each group will go over barn rules, get suited up for their ride, and learn how to control their horses in an arena. This activity is one hour. Note: The group will participate in the groundwork before the horseback riding portion of the program.
