Under The Sea at Camp Timber Ridge
Laugh and Learn Volunteer Weekend (LLVW) is an adult-only Girl Scout volunteer-run retreat held annually — this year running January 22–24, 2027, with an "Under the Sea" theme at Camp Timber Ridge. The weekend gives troop leaders and adult volunteers a chance to unwind, connect with sister Girl Scout leaders, and build new skills through a wide variety of hands-on classes, most of which run about 1.5 hours.
Class offerings span practical leadership topics (event planning, ceremonies and traditions, backpacking, roadside emergencies), outdoor skills (archery, knot-tying, box-oven cooking, hiking), and craft/creative sessions (stained glass, resin coasters, jewelry-making, and more), plus evening fun like a costume parade, line dancing, and sing-alongs. It's a laid-back, camp-style weekend built around learning from and with other volunteers — equal parts training and retreat.
Registration starts: 10/1/2026; register by 10/31/2026 to receive a $10 discount.
Registration ends: 11/30/2026
Cost: Weekend $130; One Night $125; Saturday Day Only $95
