Green Tie Guys have begun stepping up for girls in our community
Have you ever wondered how scientists know if water is clean or not?
Try your hand as an environmental scientist in the field in this
hands-on workshop! Teens will investigate the health of a stream in
Fernbank Forest by sampling water sources and testing the chemical,
physical and biological indicators of ecosystem health. Using the data
they collect, the group will explain whether the stream is healthy or
not.
This workshop is for teens only (age 13-17 years
old). Meet in Lobby, walk to Fernbank Forest.
Cost: This
program is $15 for Fernbank members and $30 for nonmembers. Your
ticket for Teen Forest Lab: Water Quality includes a 3-hour workshop
in Fernbank Forest, self-guided exploration of all museum exhibits and
your choice of giant screen film.*
Space is limited to 20
people and reservations are required online. We cannot accept walk-ins.
Please note that this event is hosted by Fernbank Museum, a program partner of Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, in Emory Village. Please direct all questions to Fernbank Museum at 404.929.6300.
