For generations, girls have been told who they should be. The 2026 State of the Georgia Girl Report asks us to look more closely at who Georgia girls really are.
Join Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta for the unveiling of the inaugural report, developed in partnership with Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia. Through research and data, the report brings the world of the Georgia girl into focus: her experiences, challenges, strengths, joy, and the conditions shaping what feels possible for her.
The morning will feature a panel discussion moderated by Angelina Salcedo, Anchor/Reporter at 11Alive (NBC), with:
- Ilham Askia, President & CEO, East Lake Foundation
- Elena Parent, Georgia State Senate, District 44
- Jenay Sermon, Ph.D., Owner & Consultant, Learn Ubique LLC
- Ameya Agnihotri, GSGATL Alum and Augusta University student
Together, they’ll explore what the report reveals about Georgia girls today, what they need to thrive, and the role adults, organizations, and communities can play in shaping what feels possible for them.
