Green Tie Guys have begun stepping up for girls in our community
The Hunger 101 Patch is the first patch Girl Scouts earn through the Hunger 101 Girl Scout Patch Program. This age-appropriate workshop helps Girl Scouts understand hunger and food insecurity. Each participating Girl Scout will receive a Hunger 101 Patch after completing the workshop.
WORKSHOP FORMATS
In Person: Girl Scouts participate in interactive activities, group discussions, and a guided tour of the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
Virtual via Zoom: Sessions are tailored by Girl Scout level
For Daisies and Brownies, a read-aloud story is featured, followed by a simple discussion about hunger and food insecurity and a conversation about what food means to each Girl Scout. For Juniors through Ambassadors, we offer a deeper exploration of food insecurity and the difficult choices families may face when resources are limited.
