Calling all Cadettes!
This collaborative Cadette badge kit will focus on what finding common ground looks like between peers, especially when opinions, interests, and personalities don’t always match up. Through hands-on activities, movement-based discussions, and creative group challenges, Cadettes will explore active listening, collaborative decision-making, and respectful communication in ways that feel authentic and relevant to their everyday lives.
By using this kit, Girls Scouts will complete all steps of the Cadette Finding Common Ground badge.
They will also:
- Discover shared interests in unexpected places
- Practice active listening and asking thoughtful questions
- Make group decisions using compromise, consensus, and collaboration
- Explore how differences can strengthen a group rather than divide it
Cadettes will be encouraged to speak up, ask questions, and work through challenges together in a supportive environment. No prior preparation is needed. Just bring an open mind and a willingness to try and learn something new.
There is no pre-work required for this kit. All badge requirements will be completed with the kit. With this kit, you will receive one Troop Leader guide, a Girl Scout workbook, and a Cadette Finding Common Ground badge.
