Calling all volunteers - join us for a morning of learning, enrichment, and fun!

There will be classes and opportunities for new and experienced volunteers alike!

Learn from fellow volunteers, program partners, Council staff and special guests in your choice from a variety of learning sessions.
Make new friends, reconnect with the old and find new opportunities while networking with fellow volunteers.
Enjoy a morning out with your fellow Girl Scout volunteers!

New this year! We've paired the program with Girl Scout Con to maximize your day! You can attend Volunteer Leadership Conference sessions in the morning and then can discover all that our partners have to offer in the afternoon - as a free add-on!

This year, we'll focus on 4 high-level topic areas, with a variety of workshops:

· Engaging Older Girl Scouts
· Balancing Life & Girl Scouts: Mental Health for Girl Scouts and Volunteers
· Enriching your GS Experience: STEM, Outdoors, and Entrepreneurship
· 1, 2, 3 - LEAD: Finding Success for New Leaders

Schedule:

· 8:00am - 9:00am: Check-In
· 9:00am - 9:20am: Welcome
· 9:30am - 12:20pm: Workshop Sessions
· 12:30pm - 1:00pm: Troop Best Practices Networking
· 1:00pm - 4:00pm: Free Admission to GS Con!

Cost:

· $20/Adult - With Lunch
· $10/Adult - Without Lunch
· Both tickets include admission to GS Con ($5.00 value)

Why did you combine VLC & GS Con into a single-day event? toggle arrow

Last year many VLC participants enjoyed the Volunteer Mall, featuring a handful of our Girl Scout partners. Since many more of our vendors are in attendance at GS Con, we decided to “use our resources wisely”, opening up VLC to a much larger group of vendors and partners. We hope that the change will allow leaders to make more connections that will help in facilitating Girl Scout curriculum.

VLC & GS Con are both on the same day – how can we attend both? toggle arrow

Since GS Con is open to the entire family, we hope that you’ll invite other members of the family to join for the day. This is a great opportunity for other troop roles to support OR Aunts, uncles, siblings, grandparents, and friends are all welcome to participate at GS Con! Send your leaders to VLC in the morning and they can meet-up with the group in the afternoon!

Does the VLC ticket include admission to GS Con? toggle arrow

YES – because there will be partners who have programming and resources to offer volunteers, VLC’s added bonus is free admission to GS Con. This will replace the volunteer mall that we had last year with a much bigger network of resource tables!

No, the GS Con ticket is specific to this event.

Will food be available to purchase for GS Con attendees? toggle arrow

TBD – we’re working on this now!

Is this a drop-off program? toggle arrow

All attendees under 18 should plan to attend with an adult! If you’re arranging to meet with a leader or other adult chaperone, you should plan to do so before checking-in at GS Con.

Are family/friends invited to attend GS Con? toggle arrow

YES – GS Con is an open to all Girl Scout supporters. It’s a great opportunity for those who are new to Girl Scouts, friends, family, etc. We’ll have a variety of vendors, each sharing about what they have to offer this year. While they’ll share information specific to Girl Scouts, the majority offer programs for all ages.

What is the schedule for GS Con? toggle arrow

We expect that you’ll spend about 3 hours at Girl Scout Con. We’ll have vendor table set-up for you to explore and learn from different partners. You can make a plan to visit them all or pick-and-choose those who spark your interest.

When will the class schedule/sign-up be available for VLC? toggle arrow

We’re currently finalizing speakers and the event schedule and plan to send out the workshop sign-up by Friday, August 15th to all registered attendees. From this date forward, workshop sign-up will be open.

Will I earn a badge or patch at VLC or GS Con? toggle arrow

Both VLC and GS Con are programs that are about learning and exploring a variety of topics! Because we aren’t committing a lot of time to any particular skill, all attendees will receive the GS Con 2025 patch.
