Girl Scout Birthday & Girl Scout Week

• The Girl Scout Birthday is always celebrated on March 12, the date of Juliette Low’s first American Girl Guide (Girl Scout) meeting, in Savannah, Georgia in 1912.  How do we celebrate? Birthday parties...birthday presents for other people...community service projects...ceremonies*...camping and other outdoor adventures...displays at school, the library, places of worship, the lobbies of business and professional buildings...having fun with Girl Scout activities from the past!
• Girl Scout Week (March 10-14, 2025) is celebrated during the week in March that the Girl Scout Birthday falls in, starting with Girl Scout Sunday and ending with Girl Scout Sabbath/Shabbat  on the following Saturday. It’s a great time to work on the Girl Scout Way badge, for Brownies through Ambassadors.
• Girl Scouts Celebrate Faith events give Girl Scouts an opportunity to be recognized at their places of worship during Girl Scout Week, share their legacy of service to others, and deepen their connection to their faith and Girl Scouting. Celebration days include Girl Scout Sunday, Girl Scout Jummah, and Girl Scout Sabbath/Shabbat.
