Welcome, Junior Wildlife Explorers, to an adventure like no other!
Dive into the heart of nature with our Animal Habitats badge program
at the Fayette Environmental Education Center. You will team up with a
skilled SCT educator to uncover the secrets of our local
wildlife.
Discover the fascinating differences between
domesticated animals and their wild counterparts, as you explore their
habitats and unravel the mysteries of their shared traits. Get up
close and personal with nature as we identify at least three native
animals and delve into their world, including an encounter with a
special SCT ambassador animal!
But that’s not all! Embark
on a journey to understand Georgia’s endangered Longleaf Pine
ecosystem. Uncover its rich history, meet the unique animals that call
it home, and learn about the vital conservation efforts to protect
this precious habitat. Conclude your adventure with a hands-on
conservation project, making a real impact on the habitats surrounding
SCT. Get ready for a day of discovery, learning, and action!
