Welcome, Brownie Outdoor Explorers, to an adventure like no other!
Join the Fayette Environmental Education Center and dive into the
heart of nature with our Outdoor Adventurer badge program at Sams Lake
Bird Sanctuary. You will team up with a skilled SCT educator to
uncover the secrets of our local ecosystem.
Bring your
binoculars! There are many places to stop over the water, do some sky
and cloud gazing, look for tracks and for any of the dozens of birds
that make Sams Lake their home.
Towards the end of our hike, we’ll play a fun survival game that focuses on bird migrations and the importance of Stop Over places, like Sams Lake! Then we’ll learn about safe ways to help migrating birds and make pinecone bird feeders to take home. Get ready for a day of discovery, learning, and action!
There are only 20 slots for this event so register today!
