Green Tie Guys have begun stepping up for girls in our community
There are a variety of paths that girls can take to pursue their dreams! The LeadHER workshop series, will give girls the opportunity to explore the possibilities of life after high school. Career exploration, strengths identification, and post-secondary plans will be a part of this series.
Be the change you want to see in the world! Think about the leaders and mentors in your life and in history. They not only inspire and guide people, but also show the way to create a better world with their own actions. Leaders today have to inspire and guide people in the real world and the digital world, or the world of technology.
During this session Girl Scouts will complete parts of their Digital Leadership Badge to understand how they share information, make plans, and connect with others to act. They will learn about being able mobilize their network around causes they care about. In this session, girls will discover the digital world around them and use technology to make a difference.
Registration is ONLY for Cadette, Senior or Ambassador Girl Scouts. Adults should expect to complete a permission form and will not able to participate during the program. Thanks to our partners at Home Depot for joining this workshop as program facilitators to lend their real-world STEM experience.
Note: The real cost of delivering this program is estimated at $25.00 per girl. Thanks to the generosity of our corporate sponsors and volunteers, we are able to offer this series at a reduced cost to girls. Thanks to our friends at Home Depot for lending their STEM expertise to this event.
Participants must register to attend. Girls who complete 2 or more sessions are eligible to earn her LeadHER patch.
