Green Tie Guys have begun stepping up for girls in our community

Prerequisite: Fire building and Outdoor Cooking or Platform Tent Camping with Fire Building and Outdoor Cooking. This is a three hour course for troop/group leaders and older girls to familiarize themselves with using a Dutch Oven for preparing meals in the out of doors. Course content includes: buying and caring for cast iron cookware, distributing coals safety and correctly and cooking techniques for meal preparation. Learn how to buy and care for cast iron cookware. This is a great course that will show you how to safely use a Dutch oven and prepare various meals. Prepare for your learning experience by bringing the following items with you: Guide for Camping, Mess Kit and bag for dirty dishes.
