Green Tie Guys have begun stepping up for girls in our community
Want to be a bioengineer? Come join us at Georgia Tech for a two-day hands-on workshop! Girl Scouts will get to explore nanoparticle drug development, vaccine design, and chemical engineering principles. You'll get to be a chemical engineer for a day by running your own lab tests and experiments! This two-day event will be hosted by graduate students in the Champion Lab excited to share about bioengineering, chemical engineering, and research scientist careers.
This two-day program is for Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador (6th-12th grade) Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts should expect to attend TWO sessions at Georgia Tech: 2:00-4:00 PM on BOTH Saturday, October 21 AND Sunday, October 22. Please note that this in-person tour is hosted by our partners at the Champion Lab at Georgia Tech at their Atlanta campus. Special safety and security measures will be taken for all participants- look for details in an email the week of the tour. All Girl Scouts must be accompanied by an adult (parent, guardian, or Troop Leader) for the duration of their visit. Siblings within the age range are welcome; please include them in the registration. Space is limited so register today! All questions can be directed to us at STEM@gsgatl.org.
