Atlanta, Georgia (May 9th, 2025) - Nine hopeful Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race participants can ensure a racing spot by joining Peachtree with a Purpose charity program partner, Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta.
Runners must commit to a minimum fundraising amount, and in exchange, they will receive an official entry and start in Wave C of the road race. The organizers of the charity program will provide fundraising tools that directly process donations. You provide the energy and network of donors, and they take care of the rest.
For years, the phrase “Run like a girl” was dismissive. Today, with inspiration from Olympic athletes and Girl Scouts like Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Lolo Jones, Gail Severs and Tatyana McFadden, “running like a girl” means strong and capable, a champion. These women inspire all runners and we ask you to “run like a Girl Scout” with us on July 4th.
In addition to busting stereotypes, Girl Scouts helps girls realize their dreams. Locally, Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta serves 24,000 girls through a nationally recognized program focusing on outdoor skills, career development, civic engagement, and friendship-building. All girls are welcome in Girl Scouts and are never turned away due to their family’s financial constraints. As a Girl Scout Peachtree with a Purpose runner, you will help ensure that a girl in need can continue in the 100+ year tradition of Girl Scouts.
