Join us for Social Savvy, a webinar where we'll dive into internet safety and learn how to protect our Girl Scouts during their digital adventures! This informative session is being shared free of charge for Girl Scout volunteers and parents/caregivers by our amazing program partner, Revved Up Kids, Inc., as part of our Volunteer Appreciation Month activities.
Keeping the children you care about safe online is as important as
keeping them safe in their real life. Do you know where the dangers
lie? How do you balance their privacy and your desire to protect them?
What are the best rules for online safety? This information-packed
session is ideal for parents, caregivers and youth-serving volunteers.
It will open participants' eyes to a spectrum of online dangers and
equip them with tools and action steps to recognize behavioral red
flags and keep children and teens safer. Five danger zones will be
covered: Addiction, Anxiety/Depression , Bullying. Reputation/Privacy,
Inappropriate Content and Predators.
This event is a live virtual webinar and will not be recorded. While there is no fee for this event, volunteers and parents/caregivers will need to register to attend.
A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers for their unwavering dedication in ensuring the safety of our Girl Scouts!
