Think you have what it takes to be Meriwether’s first ever outdoor cooking champion?  Join us for a weekend where we will put your outdoor cooking skills to the test with various challenges, secret ingredients, and special judges!  You’ll learn to use several different outdoor cooking methods, proper food safety and storage, and how to make a functional outdoor cooking space.  Bring your "A game" and show us your skills!

Girl Scout Level: Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors (Grades 6-12)

Badge Connection:  Cadette Primitive Camper, Senior Adventure Camper, Senior Locavore, and Ambassador Survival Camper

Girl Fee: $130     Adult Fee: $90

Fee Includes: Activities, 4 meals (3 on Saturday, 1 on Sunday), all supplies for staff-led and self-guided programs, staffing for activities, cabin housing for the weekend.

Adult training required: Each troop attending must have at least one adult who has completed the Council Sponsored Events Learning Path and First Aid/CPR.

The Council Sponsored Events Learning Path includes the following training in gsLearn:

• Safety First

• Day Trips and Overnights

All adults attending the event (including parents and guardians) must be registered Girl Scouts and have successfully completed a background check.

Safety Activity Checkpoint Ratios: This event is open to troops and Juliettes with a guardian. We may be required to limit the number of adults required according to Volunteer Essentials ratio on page 5 of the Safety Activity Checkpoints to allow maximum Girl Scout participation. Each troop must have two unrelated female adults in attendance at all times. An additional adult may be added for transportation needs.

Payment Schedule: A 25% deposit of event fees is due at the time of registration. Payments must be made in full no later than 30 days prior to the event date. Late payments risk cancellation. Auto pay option available at checkout.

Financial Assistance: In order to remove financial barriers to participation in Girl Scouts, limited funds are available to cover some expenses. This application covers financial assistance requests for program events.
