Join our partners at the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers for an Engineering Challenge Workshop!  Design your own assembly line, avoid bottlenecks, do a quality control check, and discover if you have what it takes to be an engineer in manufacturing.  This hands-on workshop will allow Girl Scouts to discover what it takes to be an industrial engineer, connect with female engineers to learn more about their careers, and take action to complete an engineering challenge with your Girl Scout friends!

This program is for Junior-Ambassador Girl Scouts (4th-12th grade), Juniors will earn their "Automotive Manufacturing" badge and all Girl Scouts will receive a fun patch. Badges will be available for purchase at Badge & Sash or online and fun patches will be provided. This workshop will be hosted at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel near the Cobb Galleria.  Each Girl Scout must be accompanied by an adult (parent, guardian, or Troop Leader).  This experience is just for Girl Scouts- no siblings please!  Space is limited so register today!  All questions can be directed to us at STEM@gsgatl.org

Please note that this workshop overlaps with a Braves game, which may affect parking for this workshop.  The Renaissance Waverly Hotel parking lot is reserved for hotel guests & workshop attendees (not Braves fans).  Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis and costs $10 for up to 4 hours of parking.  We recommend arriving early to secure parking, and consider carpooling with others!

About the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers: The Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers is an international, nonprofit association that provides leadership for the application, education, training, research, and development of industrial and systems engineering.  They are hosting their annual conference in Atlanta this year, which provides us with this unique opportunity!

Industrial and systems engineers make things better in any industry – from automobile manufacturing and aerospace, to healthcare, forestry, finance, leisure, and education. Founded in 1948, IISE helps its members improve complex organizations around the world and across industries. Throughout their careers, members turn to IISE for tools and connections that provide an integrated and systemic perspective to business challenges. Solving complex problems is our common objective.

Thanks to the generous support of IISE, we are able to offer this program at a low cost to our members.
