For Girls and Families
Welcome to the Girl Scout Cookie Program, the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world. The Girl Scout Cookie Program helps your girl succeed today and prepare for future success. With every box she sells, she builds on 5 essential leadership skills she can use for a lifetime:
Goal Setting - as she sets cookie goals and makes a plan to reach them.
Decision Making - as she decides how her troop will spend their cookie money.
Money Management - as she makes a budget, takes orders and handles customers’ money.
People Skills - as she learns to talk and listen to all kinds of people while selling cookies.
Business Ethics - as she is honest and responsible every step of the way.
Every Girl Scout in Greater Atlanta benefits from the Girl Scout Cookie Program. Whether it’s a trip to a breathtaking place they’ve never been, an opportunity to attend Girl Scout camp and revel in the power of the great outdoors, or the chance to try something new, every experience helps them find the G.I.R.L. ( Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-Taker, Leader)™ within to do amazing things for herself and for her community.
How to Participate
What is great about the Girl Scout Cookie Program is that as a family you can customize your Girl Scout Cookie Program experience. You can participate with a troop in all the ways below or pick what is right for your Girl Scout.
Using the Girl Order Card is a Girl Scout’s best tool for reaching her goal. Use it to take initial orders from customers and re-orders from those who need just one more box of their favorite treat.
Initial Order Taking: Jan. 1 - Late Jan. (deadline set by troop)
Goal Getter Order Taking: Jan. 27 – Mar. (deadline set by troop)
Digital Cookie: Jan. 1 – Mar. 15
The Digital Cookie platform is a fun, educational tool that helps girls run and manage their Girl Scout Cookie business online. Girls who pair Digital Cookie with the Girl Order Card sell on average 76% more cookie boxes.
Cookie Booths: Feb. 18 - April 1
Cookie Booths allow Girl Scouts to sell directly to the public with cookies in hand. Cookie Booths are scheduled by a troop to give girls the opportunity to work as a team. Cookie Booths begin February 18. Check with your Girl Scout’s troop to see how you can help take their business to the next level.
With the Smiles4Military program, customers have a chance to donate Girl Scout Cookies to those serving in the military at home and abroad. Donations are made in $4.00 increments with a Girl Scout on her Girl Order Card, online with Digital Cookie, or at a Cookie Booth. Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta will ship the donated cookies on your behalf to chosen military serving organizations.
