This weekend is the second step (after Outdoor Series Horse Trekking: Introduction) towards an overnight trail-ride camping experience. Campers will take their riding skills outside of the arena and onto the trail! At the barn, campers will learn how to care for and handle a horse on the ground. This weekend will include instruction in basic first aid for both humans and horses.
This event is open to troops and Juliettes with a guardian. We will only accept the number of adults required according to Volunteer Essentials ratio: Cadettes and up, 1:10. Each troop must have two unrelated female adults in attendance at all times. An additional adult may be added for transportation needs.
Girl Scout Level: Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors (Grades 6–12)
Badge Connection: Cadette Primitive Camper Badge, Senior Adventure Camper Badge, Ambassador Survival Camper Badge
Girl Fee: $160 Adult Fee: $85
Fee includes: Facilitated programming, program materials, cabin lodging, all meals on Saturday and Sunday breakfast.
Adult Training Required: Each troop must have at least one adult who has completed the Council Sponsored Event Learning Path and First Aid/CPR:

All adults attending the event (including parents and guardians) must be registered Girl Scouts and have successfully completed a background check.
