Serendipity
We are excited to inform you that Serendipity is receiving a face-lift!
We have recognized that this event has traveled through many different varieties and changes but needs to have an updated feel. However, we also want to retain its tradition of building happy and spontaneous memories between you and your Girl Scout(s).
Fall 2023 will not have a Serendipity on the Calendar but it will return in 2024.
We felt it was important to take a year to really plan and be intentional in the development of the changes and how they fit into the original spirit of this event.
Looking for another family camping experience? Camp Misty Mountain Family Jubilee will be September 29-Oct. 1!

Serendipity Mine & Me event allows Girl Scouts to spend time away with their mom, aunt, grandmother, mentor, or any special woman of their choice without any distractions.
Serendipity Family & Me event allow Girl Scouts to spend time away from home with the members of their family that are aged three and up. Both Serendipity events are held at Camp Meriwether, just south of Newnan, GA. We are proud to say Camp Meriwether is the picture-perfect setting to re-connect and have a fun-filled weekend.
Choose to come to enjoy quality time together for just the day – or make it a weekend-long adventure by either cabin camping or pitching a tent Friday and Saturday nights (please see the section on accommodations for more information). You can opt to cook your meals or make it a bit easier and purchase a meal package (see details in the Add on Activities and Meals Descriptions).
Whether you decide to take it easy or take advantage of all the provided activities, it will be a meaningful time for you and your special Girl Scout! There will be a variety of self-guided activities as well as Camp Staff lead activities.
Some of the activities at Serendipity may include metal and leather stamping, screen printing an exclusive Serendipity 2023 Design (bring an item of your choice!), Tye Dying, canoeing (temperature dependent), archery (slingshots for Daisy aged girls), general camp fun and games, eco hiking, scavenger hunts and so much more! Add-on activities include Groom a Pony, Pony Rides, Horseback Riding, and a LOW or HIGH Challenge Course sampler. These add-on activities can be added to your registration for an additional fee.
