The Girl Scout National Convention is slated to take over Orlando, Florida from October 21 - 25.
G.I.R.L. 2020 is a celebration…A momentous chance to spark change through bold conversation, leadership, and action—Girl Scout style.
We’re creating an uplifting space where every G.I.R.L. ( Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-Taker, Leader)™ powerhouse can stand up, speak up, and come together to level up—no matter her age or where she comes from.
G.I.R.L. 2020 is a unique opportunity to celebrate and promote the collective power of girls and women and to turn up the volume on female voices in new and exciting ways. It’s a time for old and new friends to connect on the issues that matter most to them in a space filled with the unbreakable female spirit.
Because when girls dive into science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM); explore the outdoors; build essential life skills; practice entrepreneurship; and engage in civic action—like Girl Scouts do—they change the world. They’re making it a far better, more equitable, and more inspiring place for everyone to survive and thrive. And they’re letting everyone know that girls can and will make amazing things happen.
That’s right! Girls will lead us all into a stronger, more connected future.
So come on…Let’s blaze new trails, change the conversation, learn about our communities, connect in powerful ways, and redefine what it means to be a G.I.R.L.—together. Whether you’re already part of the Girl Scout Movement or just someone who is passionate about girls’ and women’s issues, we want you to shine bright with us at G.I.R.L. 2020 and beyond.
Because when it comes to paving a clear path for the rise of influential female voices, there’s no better place to be!

Girl Scouts and Troop Leaders who are ready for long-distance travel are encouraged to plan a Troop Trip to attend this special event.
Not sure if your troop is ready? Have your girls, parents and guardians, and troop leaders take the “Am I ready for travel?” quiz on pages four to six of the Girl Scout Guide to U.S. Travel. If girls aren’t quite ready, know that you should start practicing travel now to prepare by October 2020.
