Dear Marina,

During this unprecedented and unique time, we appreciate your feedback and flexibility as we work to adapt our programming in the changing landscape. We value you, our cookie volunteers, and all the hard work you put in every year to help your girls take the lead and change the world.

We have made the following updates to our 2020 Cookie Program in hopes that we may relieve some of the stress of this season.

March 27 Withdrawal Assistance

We are offering flexible payment terms to troops that do not have sufficient cookie funds in their accounts to pay their balance on March 27. We will proceed with our scheduled troop account withdrawal on Friday, March 27 for troops that have collected and deposited funds in their troop account, as this allows us to meet payment deadlines to Little Brownie Bakers and our other vendors.

However, given the unique circumstances of this year’s cookie season, we understand that some troops may not have the full balance available. We are asking that all troops fill out the form below to let us know what amount will be available for withdrawal on March 27. We will work with troops that do not have sufficient funds in their account on a payment plan that takes into account the period of disruption and social distancing.

Please note – if you do not fill out the form by March 20, we will assume your troop has enough funds for final payment.

Digital Cookie Extension & Cookie Booths

Due to the inability to hold Cookie Booths, we are extending Digital Cookie for the foreseeable future to help girls and troops reduce their current inventory. Girls can send e-mails to customers starting Monday, March 16 asking them to purchase cookies using their Digital Cookie pages and deliver cookies to customers once the recommended period of social distancing is over. We hope you and your girls can use this time at home to enhance your digital marketing skills and even set up virtual cookie booths!

Please talk with your parents about how to handle girl-delivery orders for your troop. Shipping directly from Little Brownie Bakers will still be open for customers who prefer this option as well as Smiles4Military donations. We also will support troops in holding additional cookie booths to sell any remaining inventory once the recommended period of social distancing has ended.

Due to the need to place girl reward orders in time to receive them by the end of the school year, girl rewards will close as planned on March 16, 11:59 p.m. Sales made after the March 16 rewards deadline will only generate troop proceeds.

Cookie Connector Map

In addition to extending Digital Cookie, we are also opening up our Cookie Connector Map to all girls with a Digital Cookie page. This is a great way for the public to continue supporting girls in the community without coming in direct contact with others. In order to participate, girls and their parent/guardians must agree to our council Terms & Conditions.

We ask that you do not include any personal information such as last name, school, age, troop level, address, etc. We also ask that you do not accept girl delivery orders from customers that you do not know.

We sincerely thank you for your continued patience, cooperation and dedication to your girls! Please reach out to our helpline with any questions, comments or concerns, helpline@gsgatl.org or 800-771-1139.
