reason customers don't buy cookies is that they weren't asked. Save your order cards from prior years and reach out to your past customers. Visit your eye doctor, your pediatrician, your dentist, your orthodontist, your veterinarian every year. I visit the same car dealerships every year and the employees look forward to supporting me year after year. They can rely on my annual visit. Don't forget to ask older leaders and parents who have daughters who graduated as they will need a new cookie connection.
3. Even if a customer says no, or is rude, smile and say "thanks anyway, have a great day." I've actually had customers come back after I showed good manners and buy cookies anyway. Even if they don't come back, other potential customers may be watching, and you want to be sure you live by the Girl Scout Law.
4. Use technology. Digital Cookie is the easiest way to sell cookies. I just set up my site and send it to everyone I know. If you live in a neighborhood you can message your neighbors on the Nextdoor app and give them the link to your Digital Cookie website.
Note from Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta – Don’t forget to wear your mask and remain socially distant when taking in-person orders! |
