Troop camping is a unique opportunity for girls to connect with each other while discovering and exploring the outdoors.

Property Options: Camp Meriwether, Camp Misty Mountain, Camp Pine Acres, Camp Pine Valley, and Camp Timber Ridge.

Housing Options: Choose from setting up your own tents in a primitive campsite to sleeping in an air-conditioned cabin with a full kitchen, hot shower, and flush toilets.

Steps to Troop Camping Registration

Complete Adult Troop Camping Training
  • Trips & Overnight
    Everyone must complete this online class before taking a troop camping.
  • Cabins, Lodges and S'mores
    This class is necessary for leaders taking their troops camping in a cabin and do NOT plan on participating in outdoor cooking.
  • Platform Tent Camping with Fire Building and Outdoor Cooking
    This class is necessary for leaders planning on taking their troops camping and participate in outdoor cooking. These troops will be ready to stay in a cabin or platform tent. If you are planning to stay in a cabin and cook in a kitchen, this class is not necessary.

Submit Your Registration Form
  • On April 1st of each year, registration opens for the entire Girl Scout year (October-September)

Confirmation and Payment
  • You will receive your troop camping confirmation electronically within 3-4 weeks of submitting your application.
  • Once you receive your confirmation, if booking a cabin, pay the $50 deposit
  • Submit your troop camping payment no later than 30 days prior to your troop camping date
    • Payments can be made using the link that is emailed to you or mailed in. We accept check, cash, and "cookie dough."

Cabins

If written cancellation of a camp site is received at least 30 days prior to the scheduled camp date, and we are able to place a troop from a wait list, a refund less your $50 deposit will be applied.

If written cancellation of a camp site is received at least 30 days prior to the scheduled camp date, and we’re not able to place a troop from the wait list, half of the payment will be refunded.

If written cancellation of a camp site is received less then 30 days prior to the scheduled camp date no refund will be allowed.

Rain

Camps do not close and money is not refunded because of rain. Include rainy day activities in your planning! In the event of severe weather, leaders should evaluate the driving conditions and determine whether they should wait until the next day to travel. The council will notify the leader of record if the camp closes for any reason – a full refund will be issued under these circumstances.​​

After you are confirmed for a camping date/location you can choose additional activities to do while camping. Review the activity offerings and then submit an application. Follow the instructions on the application for submission.

Service Unit Camporees

Camporees, also known as in-gatherings, are a community building opportunity for Girl Scout troops within a service unit to connect with each other while discovering the out of doors. Two options are available to best meet the needs of different service units.

Option 1: $25/person for two nights-includes two activities and lodging. Group size: minimum of 50 people, maximum is based on site capacity. Camp Pine Valley only.

Option 2: $65/person for two nights-includes four meals, three activities and lodging. Group size: minimum of 100 people, maximum is based on site capacity.
